$24 per hour
Overtime at $36 per hour after 40 hours in a week.
Founded in 2021, Bearing Transportation Group has grown into a fleet of approximately 32 trucks and more than 53 professional drivers. We manage our own drivers, dispatch, maintenance and day-to-day operations in-house, giving us complete control over the quality, safety and service we deliver.
Built from the ground up
Maintained in-house
Employed and managed in-house
And surrounding areas
Bearing is not run from a distance. Ownership is in the yard, around the drivers, and involved in what happens on the road.
That is a deliberate structure, not a stage of growth we have not left yet. A transportation company is a series of small decisions made at inconvenient hours: a truck that will not start, a dock that is running late, a driver who needs an answer now. Those decisions are better when the person making them has seen the yard that week.
It is also what makes the sixth principle possible. Leadership that understands the operation can be held to the same standard as everybody else in it, and that is the standard the company is trying to set.
Maintenance, drivers, dispatch and operations all sit inside the company, which is what lets us answer for the service rather than pass the question along.
Approximately 32 trucks, maintained by our own team. Equipment decisions are made by the people who answer the phone when a truck has a problem.
More than 53 professional drivers, hired, trained and managed in-house. Not a roster of subcontractors assembled per load.
Scheduling, routing and day-to-day operations sit inside the company, so a question about a load reaches somebody who can answer it.
Accountability is one of the six principles the company is built on, and it means owning performance rather than explaining it.
Bearing started in 2021 as an Amazon Freight Partner with a small fleet and a straightforward idea: run the trucks properly, treat the drivers as the asset they are, and let the service record do the arguing.
Today, that is roughly 32 trucks and more than 53 professional drivers moving middle-mile freight across the Northeast, with scheduling, dispatch and driver management all handled by our own people.
The plan from here is the fifth principle: build Bearing into a transportation company recognized well beyond one customer or one contract. The operation is the foundation for that, and it is being built to carry more than it carries today.
These principles guide everything we do.
Our drivers are our greatest asset. At Bearing you will find a company that values respect, support and long-term opportunity, and ownership you can actually get on the phone.
Shipper, partner or driver, we would like to hear from you.
